Welcome back Dennis and Callahan broadcasting live from Red Sox spring training Fort Myers, Florida jetBlue park get used to these two young man on our right you're going to be seen their faces for a lot of years to come. Wearing Red Sox uniforms in Boston's -- -- to my immediate well let's Jerry -- media rights in a bowl Brooks is right of course Jackie Bradley junior be around for awhile to not a or probably your gonna be around a lot longer than we are I don't guys. Partners. When asked him sort of tough question when when asked about what team concerns are we -- the people that that well this that the other in invariably they say. And the uncertainty about the use in the middle a shortstop and center field is that a legitimate concern. Yes and no. You know as the young guys that doesn't have spent a lot of time like the veterans of the big leagues so there's definitely some conservative mean. -- we have got a chance that the -- -- -- -- we had you know so. That's about it what do you think just found itself and all the way things you can prove that is you know they're playing. You know era is gonna have their doubts -- -- shown that you can play in in all the -- very rates are. Us losing a World Series make it tougher or easier for you guys is you take the field this year. Does it take some pressure off I mean I think it's all relative speaking it's and it's if you wanna put pressure on yourself but. You know. Just go into it thinking that you know you're going up they're help -- team compete and get back to where. They were last year and of course you know our eyes there. When are we watching because you want it worse there than everybody is expecting you know you test it that that World Series on eighteen and if you don't it's you know if it's considered failure so. But I mean that's what we continues to work everything they strike it better. You -- time a little bit ago speaking of time. What do each of you know this February this bring about Major League Baseball in your careers your talent that you didn't know a year ago. When you sat here. What did you learn last year I guess is a short question where less there with a a little bit but you were -- Yeah where they ever brought a few days of that I got sent down to the minor leagues so this election or first preachers or before through. We have a lot of experience is it all the guys -- we have our guys belong commonly on the acquisition -- the -- -- -- -- -- -- so it's good to be around the guys and it's all. You know you are like the rest of us and there. Everybody can tell you that's for sure just about everybody knowing them. Was hoping they would say go by the Stephen Drew and say this is our shortstop we were all hoping for that. I'm glad to see there is no drew no offense to him but -- shortstop we wanna see which was stuff. Well we surprised when you should win when they kind of let Stephen go. I mean he's their ability you know so -- meant. But I mean a court specialist -- all in this the position I know call up as a youngster also in the minor leagues as a result splits so. A player at third base and we're osu is that's pretty good and this is good to be able to focus on what position notebooks and a shortstop not going back for sure if there's so -- -- for the very first thought you'd be disappointed -- -- -- -- today. It's a tough question. If it has with the organ face of the organization wants to with a few of you know what's best for the team. -- W Jackie Grady Sizemore and can't -- left handed if he already would probably think it's a pure platoon but he's not so. Do you view it is your job to lose and he's just here's insurance. And I think that's the same way you know we're we're both teammates. We're both both focused on. The single -- trying to win a World Series game. You know competition is you know what drives us and you know that's what the sport based off and that's a wrap up so you know -- But for sure gonna put our best. Forward. And I mean he's he's great and I really enjoy it -- and meet him. As a teammate and you know learn from them or your emotions like last October watching that World Series one kind of on the outside you were done at Florida -- -- -- a little bit. Then I look back home I had you know it some wedding planning away so I -- -- transfer Matt. -- -- -- thoughts and patterns towards that make it's everything with where we were that tough to watch them. I'm no not when you wind up I mean. It was great -- a half before. Him. You know and I was glad to be a part of. Sanders so much has been set about you know where you are in the system number two prospect in Major League Baseball. Would you prefer people not had such high expectations of you because that's pressure would you rather fly under the radar and have them say nothing about you or doesn't that matter. I mean if you're fiery guy he's too good of definitely Peoria at some point so that's true this of this of this company -- who I was. Never nobody ever really know what was there was there was a sign in now basically however the animals' own guys and prospects in baseball so. I mean I feel no pressure at all I just go out there have -- I have fond. I enjoyed it gave up big again that the right way. What was the highlight for you was it take in the walks. And just showing the patience thing the maturity at the plate in the post season it surprised a lot of people yeah be that patient at the plate. I mean I turn the switch was akin to the post season you know you got to really focus on me. That's a couple mistakes that you'll want mistaken because of the whole game improbable series so. You've got to review last period before Christmas is this stuff to this project at the calls. You gotta call it is Verlander. Not a very left out there as a pro -- and we were down -- right call yeah scherzer -- I mean and they said you got to focus on every bit as important community is is that they also want to lose the World Series so. Had a mix of focus and it's over some tough pitches lead off of I'm gonna call it always nice. Definitely I mean before a game but was against thought just I'm just pretty much locked in because the way yeah definitely -- a lot of music. To a lot of gum -- there is not always so that's kind of small so that -- What was the highlight of your post season with the name a street after you or was and I did the idea par but I got -- in 20110. That's -- left yeah you have got people -- -- Woody Woody get to do it tonight we -- special privileges I -- you know get a pencil ordered all that but a lot of good with them -- you guys if you people executed it -- you guys probably don't want him haven't heard that was sort of the it's like William Wallace and bring it right -- like that right. Now I'm going here. I think that battle sort of rules or whatever color on Twitter somebody asked to check your your pulled offseason hobby. And you said going to the movies -- -- in movies what was the best movies so this offseason. The best movie saw this offseason. He willful Wall Street I did which of that I heard -- under I think yeah doesn't seem that we love. It's it's different. You've definitely got you know. What's he taking it hasn't been around you know united network doesn't they don't bring everybody and nobody wanted your parents that'll I wouldn't they're going to watch him my parents -- but I am a survivor. I did not think that was very very powerful and moving movie. I say that's up there and a top five. I'm it was very special did you read the book -- did you speak. I didn't books are better yet -- -- out there yeah now what only walked out -- mediator in there and you can hear a pin drop from from everybody was just that that powerful. Do you bring this guy with him to the movies -- we all know he doesn't wanna tell me -- path to get what do you married Belichick's -- do for kicks. Yeah they went back home with a lot of time -- -- -- -- you know with him the best because of the world's to. We threw to do elect and all the americans' takeover if beaches in the winter. I mean it's different tourism Elizabeth -- -- not so my plan on coming there. So how well without available where it's -- it's it is is Andrew Jones a hero down there yeah still yup. I mean I don't think Eagles that often the result couldn't clear Japan and he can -- of -- but it's got its found us also. But he's definitely a -- -- a hero for taking a walk in the -- has hit three home runs at the age in nineteen he public appearances what's the big deal. I mean I think I won the World Series. Well. That that Esther we want it might be lost the got a vice Jackie for this guy he's getting married this -- getting married yeah it's great yeah Igawa what was the by DJ he's the pick and play Seattle Portland and your band I. Did and the agent the agent -- Yeah that really got European and where which language and -- yeah. Did you know yeah win would get what it was your marriage that you better notice that if okay do our harbor day December 7 December 7 two large large -- that are still together did you still think that's -- -- yeah that's good was the wedding so. Wedding song with all of need John Legend. Published. Guys thanks clear what you wish you picture yourself hitting in the lineup you are you a three hole hitter in the not this year not yet of -- now some day. To be on a -- -- -- the bottom -- -- very -- -- -- -- I don't know probably had in Nigeria with a manager gave excellent view that there. It where yes you are similar -- six to set seventh written after presents. As far as Niemi or was it also you're not this night. He was said -- and then we want them up like 67 it's OK okay so we've -- -- -- -- -- -- -- do you know -- -- -- just still hasn't got his number one's nineteen. He's it is on -- Fred Lynn you know we know that is -- Fred Lynn asked. You're number two now right yeah. How do you feel faster with them but -- -- just -- the -- the -- did pretty well with that a we'll see -- a game exploited or is it for -- went to it is. Covering opposing views are cute there and do is also but I also number two with a tomorrow and so. Those are. The -- guys that -- -- through -- close coming up this is a little Saturday golden swing are they gonna say these -- the -- that you go to as a duo of adrenaline and Jim Rice yes rice about it when you see him down there or it's kind of grumpy but today you know if you ask about the glory days are probably loosen up. Are you happy with 25 we used to determine in nineteen Sunday. I'm happy with point five. Have within a number so I -- a good -- yeah I think it's great now ozone problem but that's really what but eventually -- I do want nineteen. So but you get 44 apiece to lead this. We just gave and it was just it was just kids from the start I took -- with the logo at that if you don't care where you're in the order -- -- -- we wanna be hit in the order Fabius from the that we all was the spot that Jackie Bradley is most comfortable. I think -- below book -- you can't. Don't get all the work we got to controversy it looks like I'm you'd give it to you had three I want to look at this go lefty -- wanna do that to freak who -- You -- to that. The only lead of elusive leadoff. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Whichever which brings me to my final question the NFL scouting Columbine was -- week and nobody's focusing on the forty times to get from Kent State injury -- out of four to 640. You and victory of the two fastest guys on the team do you think. I know who's faster. Buchholz is one really felt pretty fast especially you'll probably -- victory probably do. While public gets that I don't know. -- never -- -- you -- right and left -- about a match race a bit Victorino on him Jackie Bradley junior. He's gonna get a lot over strip them regularly probably not Ross thank Donald across grosses I know for sure vocal -- that is. Right yeah it with all the parents to Alastair to. Now -- -- some good pitches to that that missing them right run but I like here he is. Peavy being peavy he you know Peoria. They should pinch run and then what is buckles a perpetual. That's -- that's because when he makes his living with a dark and I was away slide and fingers first aren't that Jackie Bradley juniors -- thanks for taking the time this year I think you -- in the you know like it's ignorance is winning so yeah that is it wanted to -- for us up -- As we have played themselves back to the club house not every guest joining Dennis and Callahan gets a dozen pro V one golf balls from titlist featuring. The Red Sox World Series champion logo the plate number thirteen to commemorate the 2013 title. And -- gets a -- it gets to be bonefish -- wayside -- Burlington mass of wayside comments Cranston, Rhode Island doing to himself with Connecticut and and there's one right up on route 41 of you guys to go have -- could talk to guys that you parents during his court the final hour Dennis and Callahan broadcasting live from Red Sox spring training we'll be right back Johnny Jones joins us next.
