You want it that's what I needed to do so we can keep delivering it. So positive and so now. Do. I was sent on pause but how would you know. Okay it looks like him and talk to myself today Jesus Christ no announcements participate in the show does the government section. Doing need to and I don't even introduce myself onto any interest you ever knows you're here. Medina and you were here last week. But I was on the show was not you any degree in India thank you I mean I'm pretty comfortably you could count ball but that's the testament to good interview yeah. Sign. And you know we're they're probably in a similar question says this is Alfa group about the team anymore I feel actually not that bad about the team. I think their defense is. Very improved. I really. Aren't aren't there aren't morally Airways would then I trust senator. I was still I don't that was the highest in the game for them. Yeah. It's fair but I mean at one game guys in that there's this that's senate back pairings so much improved. Now they approved it they're gonna look at. I mean it was a tough loss here to go to Colorado that's a tough place to play notice and it's a tough loss he got a good that's a good team color is good team let's not forget that. And as tough game I thought they did pretty well the defense certainly held their own. So just we'll let you guys know on the show today. We're gonna talk with a home opener but the homo putters been postponed due to cold weather which I'm fine I'd totally buy it it's mostly frigid temperatures on Saturday we're recording this on front Illinois it's mostly frigid temperatures on Saturday site. I find them postponing the game it's too damn cold known to gonna wanna be there the players aren't and one of either they're not going to be able to even perform especially on. Surface. So I'm trying to I had no problem with that and have a problem with the imposed on him well I was back to say it would that it happened in England. I you can tell Leo whether it would be like that god has called it wouldn't be nearly as called me the other I just still think. It would not have happened the fans would have shown up and I think here there is worried depends insult it's not a cold isn't in England going on seeing you know keeps saying that it's all right it's home with you are not as opening well I think there was this. The English I agree with a couple of how it's colder in Germany and they take a nearly a month off. It's so especially the Scandinavian countries they have to take an extended winter break. Because of the cold so I have no promise. No problem no problem whatsoever would they do this in England yeah probably. Cancel. Getting canceled or postponed a you know owned and now there's a big differences. 00 we're gonna attack that (%expletive) and today they're not allowed to cancel it because you have to play the actual Manning games but I just don't think you would postpone in England but will never know because the weather's not going to be like that that's their response. I'm sure would be postponed in England. I don't think so. I agree to disagree we're not agreeing to disagree I'm right. Rust outs wrong. We're agreeing that Iran. On in any loyal fan of the soccer cast those bands though is writes I'll say thank you I appreciate notes back to my degree this is that the president. All right rule like the first real but has been those. Our com we've got to uninteresting show preakness we have obviously the greatest American history of mankind. Mankind. Not the sport of soccer which leads me down another and I ages that I use a joke off the air but I totally stole that joke yeah I never watched parks and recreation. I never watched never watched him put a little bloopers. So I was down the YouTube rabbit hole bloopers the other day that day use this like a year ago. And I'm sort of parks and Rex bloopers does I don't need to show to understand the looper know it's funny. So there's a scene announced that it says the preakness and hoping it if you dedicated listening in the largest. May be skip this part. Our. So there's a scene where the two women to lead women are up at the front they're kind of leaving a meeting and they're talking about comebacks and and it's like we need a great comeback you know what are some other great comebacks in sports and the scene is that people in the meeting or talking about. Great comebacks in sports and and Chris Pratt I don't know his character's name is Chris Pratt raises Hannah goes. Kim Kardashian. Veterans like. I. And engages dead hands Tim appreciation a commoner back and that you are and everyone is dying laughing. On this I mean I could never be on NBC actually it's I know it is it was absolutely fantastic that's good. It's funny could do is pretty funny Buick and I'd but now it's back on track. So we've got a very interesting show freeze today we're gonna obviously talk about the history Barcelona clash which was an amazing comeback we'll talk about are supposed to choose obviously. And don't correct him pronunciation and that's the way isn't as pronounced I don't care features to change it that's and counts. I go I asked my Croatian friend here in the office and he says its usage or it is but he says 06 or you're gonna say post its on the syphilis so fight turnaround decides it my name's not high H him. How this works your name is your name you know just it's changed the pronunciation of your name though you don't knows he and I are friends and actually doing right telescope burst. That's a much fancier and rush rusk gold mom. That you can stock in trade change connecting the eco Oman coast Goldman. So. And and we also have. For interviews and view their short but there's four. Andrew Farrell. Femi Hollander Janssen nice Diego Fernandez who made his debut on the soccer cast actually enjoyed so we'll have him back pay and dear close personal friend of mine. Brad nine. Huge. He's like. I was gonna say he's on that Taylor Twellman level of friendship with me but to actually completely redeem himself. We didn't beat it good completely like a 100% I was getting worried about better than all of you. Well that's out so he was the first person to wish me happy birthday on members of algebra at that he's saying you (%expletive) ass hole. I'm not a big FaceBook isolate Allison as both the no I mean against each other. Super last ones. That all our engine package. Yes Alexander Goldberg. Happy belated birthday thank you so much. People are. I'll. Screw you Ross is one of us like it leave Taylor Twellman at all people worst person beat us to that first person. At each got a week including a a X man. So he's back up to like a level two brand that's a great clean name. Investment comes. We hope and in the park. That's cute. It's absolutely he has the story here like yours and human one BRR oh yes yes he's like he Fernandez and different others. Are on people are saying hey this is kind of funny but can you get to the (%expletive) We'll get to. We saw in early February. When the greatest comebacks we've ever seen in the super. I was amazed. I would venture to say. This champions league comeback by Barcelona. Is just as good as that super blow them justice. This comeback. Champions league wise is right up there with the miracle and assemble. Liverpool overseas in Milan 2005 yeah. I mean. I don't like compared to much of the patriots come back -- vehicles Russell's are talking patriots on several Madhya restaurant and who knows how many times dresses and liked the suitable by now so he's gonna have some very liberty can can we move on amendments about. If it and I mean no it was ridiculous because I think once c'mon he scored so bad I mean now isn't a huge huge label because then bars that are over yet Dave Emerson is worth more exactly they needed to literally. You know just win the aggregate outrage and so if you haven't. If you are aware of what's going on and you don't really follow champions look to setup orient. And led one of Barcelona went to Paris to play PSE and they get trounced four neo embarrassing defeat no Eagles. No way Eagles leg to. It's back in Barcelona. And arsenal sorts open opera quick takes a three nil lead early. All like non goals this war is gold to start off the game was like barely off of his head the next one was here own goal and a third and was a penalty so. Already it's bars of making this comeback. Yet they're not even playing you know at their optimum level. And then. Edinson can Vonnie scores and it looks like it's over like it looked like it was over at the beginning there's like they're not gonna score five goals here. And funny scores has like all right it's 31 but. There's half laughs maybe just under half went by score was right for the accurate and it is really early in the second half of it. I think to look at the game's over you think they're not gonna score from Oracle's Lodi Emery did his seat managers celebrated like used in. And the costs. You're good bye Russ. Think he's mad at me I don't know what Dallas a couple of if he even calls back I don't know. But no you write once commodities scored is she had treated it like it was over and it's a different way using a little bit when it was three nothing actually did think Barr says it was gonna do it. But once c'mon he scored it was the ultimate shift the momentum because as you said now bar assess the score now three models yeah. It was an unbelievable come unbelievable they deserved every second of it. Sorry I'm just distracted by rust just abruptly leaving the it's a prism is apparently lost power he lost power the power so is that the snow. I don't know. I've no idea but let's let's soldier yet he lost power I guess does blow carver box. Like to assert it was working to Vonnie did actually didn't score to a 62. Minute so I was a little bit later than we thought. Unbelievable comeback Barcelona absolutely deserved. To advance because of that history. Embarrassed absolutely embarrassed and I'm kinda happy because they don't have autonomy it seems that there's nothing drawing me to. PST anymore. I am kind of happy is that I'll I'd rather see Barcelona further interment and it would PST agreed. I would too I think there's a lot of strong teams left me personally I don't really avid horse in the race so. The team I hate the most I think you know his Manchester City. So watching that game I was like OK I really do all of ours might I remind realize that city. LA for Chelsea Premier League reasons but B we always hate the team of our good friend of ours and I've been very good friend is a huge city and so that is kind of materialized but anyway. I thought to myself well. If peace she get outages they're gonna have no moment on that side because their fared in their way to the finish line yeah and then vice Versa if you are sick this. They are literally going to have you both on it. And refute my god is the train wreck. Yes. My little car. Last hour how do you lose power. I know all of a sudden. I really want power I our I have like a power surge. Marketing so our. Second did you. Go to human Russ. What I was saying is. You know. Barcelona and in bed with saying DC really didn't deserve to go through this guy after all you know knows lot and so and I was saying I don't have a horse in the race so. I would prefer Kansas City not to in the champions league so ideally I want to Barcelona getting through and I think either way it would have been huge momentum swing p.'s chief parts their way there. You know if they do go through and had no momentum on their side they have to face a team like by iron or re Al or something of that nature. But now bars this through and they have by far the most momentum. But guys the things that stuck out to me where you know we mention the first three goals are really not even that impressive and I think for. You know recipe we fact checked it device and scored to the 62 minute ride I honestly thought one of the worst players on the pitch for the longest time that your opinion on this was named Maher I thought name was diving everywhere he was flopping like a little dead fish yeah it was terrible I think we nearly. Somebody brought out and this is so. One problem with a number. And you go out and art and politics came back and why you wrote well. Bobo I'm gonna change a little bit I don't like Russ how they started to come back I didn't like the first three goals but somebody who I think within the ninety minutes proved himself to meet completely. Was name. He had a terrible first I don't know 62 minutes. And then the free kick he had. Un believable and then. He tea. He takes the penalty instead of messy. Because I guess some people like oh when he keeper sees you know someone take it twice the chances go way up I thought that was the wrong decision I think Leo message beating a penalty. Every day of the week whether he's hit nine or missed nine but name are steps up delivers it beautifully they still need that last goal. Name art makes a move onto his right but then fakes putts on to his left. It's in eight heats of the ball and he really was in my opinion the absolute man of the match even though I thought he sucked for sixty minutes. Us. Not a good point you know. What's in the comeback is unbelievable are the closest thing I can pick I'm glad you brought up the out the Liverpool match ban. Are the way to Manchester City won the title the first time that was an incredible comeback but but this is even warmer actually. The I mean the city thing was you know it's I mean I got you're saying it was a league thing and it was more. Amazing the way it unfolded because you know it may and you had just played and they did everything they could and then you know Guerrero in the dying embers of the game literally Wednesday title. But definitely different type of comeback. But I mean honestly I just thought once Gilani scored that. You know so there is no way because you know you have you have in my opinion. The best setter back in the world and sir you can say Sergio Ramos larger you know Jerome blocked anger or whatever. Tiago Silva healthy is one a one B once he's not even worthy of being listed at second I think he's dynamite. And you know I I surely thought a wolf. We have a decent coach and you and I Emery and you know as a decent probably pretty Lucy's only way better than decent 'cause he did really well you know last few years would you know in your open stuff. But I just not good manager good team a great team but Tiago Silva variety between eighty how the hell could they you know not hold on to this I understand it's Barcelona. So I mean it was the most ridiculous thing ever sob until the very last goal I still thought there was no chance Barcelona woodland. What format it is what you call the choke. 00 absolutely I'm glad you said that so when it was three nothing I said to a friend in my eyes watching with. Barcelona aren't winning this used you're losing us because you know as I said the fashion in which they scored goals it wasn't you know is of the ball as bumbling around in the box resources for school that easily should be cleared by someone like mark Kenya was Tiago Silva Kevin trap what have you. Second is just a straight up on gold bikers ala. And sure. PC's no better name Mars looking for the penalty. You can call my floppy in common diver you know but that's what he is that's what I am Robin is it's a skillet there isn't unique and roll your eyes and say you know it's not part of the beautiful game but. You need to be smarter than that on views she's part so I know Russ somebody said that PST at least for the first half of that we're losing it more than Barcelona was winning. I I totally agree and you know listen I was I was pulled her PSU but what's interesting. On a prior shall I say this group we talked about the first leg and and it was or no and I sort of there was it's in -- do this out. It was Barcelona being right now I I actually don't like that I'm right here. Because they're really wanna PSU to go through life. Because not who I wanted to you know it's almost like the patriots thing you know I wanted to different team in there you know I'm one of the issue to go. You know to go to the quarters and maybe gold goes further and dot I'd like to make up about team I do like that he man. But you know in the end they weren't good enough. Yeah I mean. I'm kinda would bet on this in terms and it's not really a fact it's mortgages you know what you're light but I think that he's he's really get on paper you know I got variety in between the and they got a strong midfield and obviously they're attacking three you know I had Drexler in January pretty good. You know him. Signing if you will Lucas Mora the body has the most goals in Europe. But without slots and there's just like there's an ass since missing the PST. And sure they didn't replace him they moved Gilani over and you can't critique deck is the body's doing. Phenomenal. I don't know I just felt like rest news that that's a deeper team that's not necessarily a team with heart you know I know some people say oh but you know watch mark over body. The guys this is he's got you know a lot of heart you know almost like I. Dustin Pedroia like player in terms of he's plays way bigger than me actually as I get that. But I just don't feel much heart and maybe needs to come from keeper you know you look at you Ventas. Who's the heart of UN does that the back three and NG you both on you know I don't get that I don't get that from Kevin trap and as much as I let Tiago Silva. At the same time he's not allowed outspoken person so I'm I'm happy they're not through because I don't think they deserve to win at all so I would rather see the better team and I think the better team is definitely now moving on an attack against self. Yes yes it's been like three minutes four minutes five minutes about me I put a muzzle on. You know when I'm not part of the show it suffers. Just sent. It suffers from Mayo laughter stamp plane that is Euro area. Funds stamp ploy to do she standpoint but ons that fire of readers viewers and by I have been listening to her. Patiently waiting my turn. No I I it's hard to disagree with anything you just said I I actually ross' I'm. Baffled that you are a fan of this version of the PSG team and I I can't understand why. Well I do you know less than not I like a team that plays together as a unit and I think that they do that the issue I have with them. Was the approach in the first half you know they didn't come alive in the second half then wasn't what it became a desperate situations so so that's on that. But you know I quite in depth that they'll put together and that fight for each other that first leg impress me unfortunately we didn't see the same the second leg. And and this to me was tell winning over team I guess because the mortality came on the way to went. More time to buy a lost. Yeah let's yes it's a big difference between those two teams. Now appears he really hasn't demos of a lot of favors to kind of really truly compete in the champions league. Yet they can still kind of run wild on. Legal own yes ot this season knowing no but I mean I think they're actually don't going to start separating themselves probably. Niece is kind of trailed off Monica is kind of trailed off a little bit. Of these other teams went on their their son truckload in the league. And he she's gonna separate themselves yet again and haven't probably win by seven points I mean it better because men you know we're talking about momentum. At the same the same way I think bar say now is really go I know Rio how has the advantage they have a game and and but I think to not only is arson now probably get a surge in the champions league but it also could propel them to do something pretty miraculously low league. It's Enrique is last season a bar set. So I actually bend I would assume that PCs get a runaway that bill what about if the same name Abu bars as into the senate halves at peace even a negative way that they you know far their way there and don't win and don't win anything this year. It's certainly possible I think too and I am very the manager is soda blame rescue said how like they're playing from the start. They were playing the lake it was the eightieth minute now in the first that I that's all I am of our Lauren Lauren and I would be approach. Laurent Blanc was grinning beauty Ehrlich the grinch. I really you fired me for this year. Let's talk look at this crap that's on the field right now just got dominated by Barcelona. When Europe for nothing. It's it's the problem with you know and now once again I'm not saying every source manager of all time no chance but is rob without quickly managers get its act and you know why Rosie di Maria playing he had to go Los Soes in the first lake lake absolutely and world class goals I feel like he is. I don't know just trying to get cute and you can't execute against Barcelona I mean it's literally the last team to execute against him. To get to the enemy is now will kill me just quickly and army to delay but hype the greatest American soccer player of all time is born this week. And I say born in a very least way Christian. Who is sick with such loose it's his birthday is this week. Now actually happened months ago is it. But the focus to wall Barcelona transition like I in my opinion he's going to be the greatest ever you know why did you say it was his birthday industry newborn is like a loose term like he had his coming out party look at those are two different things are yet coming out party he's like Easter. Coming out he wants the world to know. He does but anyway I just noise real quickly bar so as you know directly don't like that song price completing the greatest comeback in UCL history but at the same time Kristen. Who elicits I'll save elicit a sicker with her. Was being somewhat of a hero for version Dortmund who you really were terrible on the first leg against and he got nothing to show for their performance. And yeah when they went up one nothing it was tight and everything but that's for the illegals earlier. He had a goal and this is of course the bombing and Patrick but. That was a team in eighteen year old American starting in a champions league game. Against a good team have been feet I know they're not a top five league. Getting a goal and this is when they really needed and they didn't have Markel relates I I think that was one of the brightest moments for an American soccer player in quite some time absolutely. He's a stud DC's chip. His goal he's and yes they did on his face mask and he's a stud he's an absolute piece of real deal and he deserved all the praise he got after that game who. He is a very good player he's not going to be around much longer can I don't he's gonna make it out of the summer. You wanted to hopeful sofa available or write write down on have an erection thinking about it a lot of port. He's going to be somewhere out someone's gonna come and inspires cash. I mean you would think I honestly. Truly for his development Morris kind of want to say there one more year. Will you I think key or come play for your club that. I said that's not just me being a liberal and that's a guy who knows how to develop young talent that's why I want him to see him here. The problem here is and I know this is not gonna happen for buried. Obvious reason. Citing a money. Yeah is in his way and their money's been a revelation of sorts for the Liverpool's what's gonna happen it's going nowhere he's going nowhere they're locking him up and now. I know for a fact that the brass with the Fenway sports group that owns Liverpool love that it. And they're very impressed with them and don't resign others there's so until the person who. We'll only to sort out there are no people I know I Tom Warner Tillman personally in these hallways at the elevator on how this can cornered him a couple of though I. I know that you're saying it on one hand being a fan beer us as saying that it would be a good fit for him and I actually do agree with the I do think he's staying for another year. Loose money than LA if you haven't been paying attention is a stud and he's number should Dortmund he's probably leading after this year. I really feel like he's probably headed to Barcelona by the kids is that good which I think actually opens up the starting spot for Christian Louis its next year you know as long as they don't require some big name. So I really he's eighteen I mean he can move when he's 22 and easy young player on the move you know so yeah I mean it's just ridiculous that time is getting a lot of. Aren't I had enough of YouTube I want to talk to other people. Just good at since the line I'd write the article and doing. All right go berserk powered your house. I will I. Yeah. We're gonna go now to speak with Andrew Farrell. Demi Hollander Janssen deal for the and his amount man. Brent Knight. Sitting down now and Andrew Farrell. And every day it's been awhile since we've had you on the show where he has yet just about an end so you've got problems shall law. A lot by me because you're playing at a position. Where I think. Maybe you'd be better served playing in another position so I always bring it up and can't help myself obviously playing in a fullback position. I would years he'll send memos said. Just think you'd be of great. You know defensive midfielder. And so we talked about before on the show many times and you know. Obviously I have been here I got to ask you flat out about it you know is that positioning could see yourself being very successful in your very successful where you are now you've become one of the top fullbacks. In the entire and molest. But you see that other position as a defensive midfielder something you could do. As a request I think I'm arcing collier played there a little bit common. A place in a mega Cinemax at two very similar except the united on that yes no I'm behind you but. And now no and then yes indeed the Wii S and to be made and I teaming up at 2 o'clock see you Tom Watson Tom. Itself. And now I look I love the play you know of the plays targets that play anywhere he may have been a lot of fun Nabil you know a change of scenery. On the way you know it's a thicket that. Are of course absolutely I know that and it just one of those positions very look at your athleticism is so. Great and especially if you put that in that position you could do amazing things are just being able to track back and forth and get everything men and kind of become even. The defense of box the box until the moment for the homeless once again this and having fun I mean bigot you know target books parent. Artists over the past couple years you've kind of gone back and forth between them right back and you know central baton now. Describe the difference for you what you had to do to get ready to kind of adjust your position I know you've played them all obviously grown up but it's a big lead. So last year had to make that transition to center back role is that how did you have to what did you exactly have to do to case are prepared for. What thing I think my positioning had to be a lot lot better. What I said backe got you know sidelined helping out a little bit and I was always have cover with us with the Centre back. As senator backlash has shifted back there. You know not much running necessarily. If you have good position in if you if you're not a good spot than you get to be tracked him back in and now making last it's tackles and stuff like that so. This mentally you have to be you know in the gates and good spots to you know be Smart with the ball you know make complete in the passes it and be flying in. Yes and that's sometimes on the cleared out even when you can't play so. Yet less less room for air. And it's in a back and that's a minute you know at that unlock that I did not take much as India on the ball and as sort of backing out it's not really it advised to do that. Yeah do you did you find yourself and at times like kind of raining yourself and from going too far forward. Yes so used to being able to bomb. Sidelined exact I think it's you know a lot of discipline. Has to be an and that position. As must not as much as as you have to have an as a back way they want to get forward and involved an attack. Now they're obviously backed him right back rotten and that is a role that is. Very well suited for you and using your athleticism do you prefer being there today where he can kind of just it's a little more natural to you don't have to think quite as much you can rely on that at criticism. I think so I think I like being been out there in and be known as you know like Palo defense. Is some value more than offense but I want to get myself in on dining drive the players. Not in the causes in enjoyment tact I think that's on the net as if my career and and if by you know keep on growing this and can help our team. I'm. Port city has had a slow start last year and then and you dropped the opening game one of the rapids. What was the message from JD. To you guys to kind of prevent you guys from falling into a slow start like you did last year and then coming off a tough game of the well fought game but a tough game to lose them cholera. Yeah I was seeing you know wanna start this when a seventeen season kind of ended my sixteen like you know plan well and and and now fighting in and scraping in and I think you own a cell lack of effort on on Saturday I think you know. Something's gonna go our way. You know there weren't that many chance for either side really Ayman. Just us that set piece but I think we saw one and didn't you know started. So with a loss and they come back on and and you know keep you know drag on an outcome that happened you know we didn't play our best. You know still had a chance and they went to kind of game when the game even not playing our best comeback common now yes I you know outside the on on the right foot home in. And against a team Orlando who is going to be good. We know when when we're playing our best and when you know we're fighting hard and are battling. We we looked at the with any team in the league so we just got to make sure we we bring that intensity throughout the week and then I'm coming in their own home you don't want me to support just like what Colorado than you know. They haven't done a lot since my four point fifteen dark horse Mike bass. So you know we thought we don't wanna lose a home we're gonna win I'm all against say hard to do that but we wanna make sure that we we take care business. He said it like playing defense sometimes more than you like playing offense. So there. You know we look at matchups from time to time who would be that one guy. Playing on the wing that you would love to go toe to toe with just is kind of measure yourself up against you know I look at there's so many people there's some people would wanna go against like. Yeah it's your sack his diving yeah but who would be that want Geoffrey that you wanted just kind of testers heels against 11. So you say anywhere in the well late in the anybody in the world dawn don't keep it just usher them less. Had to go live. A guy like the play against Douglas cook stuff for us or by an up. I think he he's unease. He played you played against and play and are nice at Baylor and actor Miller have issues. I think done a great defender and that's be about legacy much of it is sympathy he go inside you know down the line. He's got great moves NB funding is not token he's not no big big guys amended it to go with them but. I mean he's he's a good play like there. I was expecting name where you over the note as a I was expecting Emma partly because of the physical side of the year to just push camera yet. Disease that's pretty much the ammonium push him around a little bit him off the ball and changes style game all right last summer talked which is a couple years ago we talked about it often we're bring that up a lot of Marcia. Who's your team in the team on some movement arsenal. All right so if he did occur much you're gonna have to change up that striker. Druze. Good but not yet if EA is now. Slightly late edition and like. I don't like with the ball and he is like put them at all. So you kind of look for part of having like all I do some guys are up well like Alex scientists. Thought I mean like you guys having like. Oxy Tamil and I mean walk. It's is Ozal like in an attack. 1 o'clock and one of the guys in this. In the spring line in and on the wires. My team. Let me why what did you do though that teams were younger the NBA finals yet gently and interrogating Dempster caveat. And that was an unbelievable team yet it was just a shame they can never break through again in Europe. Is they had that amazing team an 0203 related it was a single game. And on these. Delays Martin. Force series of their whereabouts are probably so how's that for you when you finally got to kind of match. As awesome as it cool you know we as a good battles first go games. I mean most of the games you by -- pass me by the Colombian that we you know the last game yet on you know did that left him up web game. Is just gave out his last game I think you know send us there again in Moscow. Yeah a good game yet yet again and in the knock on him was that he would play answered surfaces and it you know you've played really well exactly but you guys just went low apparently that's advance. And to thank you for taking some time for having the disease. All right we're sitting down now with with Sammy. You know ms. Tammy Femi Hollander Janssen. You've had an interest in offseason a very interesting offseason. Couple years ago you obviously get trapped by the rams. And then you're left unprotected in the expansion draft whichever team has to do and it's unfortunate that it has happened that way event happens that way and you end up getting picked by Minnesota united. Which is new in the MLS obviously they've established themselves pleaded draft they're selected there. And then almost immediately turned grind it traded back. So. Let's go through that roller coaster emotions there listen you're comfortable you're happy. You get drafted somewhere else the frozen north of Minnesota. Enough ballots both of them. And then you kind of got to figure your way around there and also need to treat. Hypothetical for you were the thoughts going through your head while that was all going. Armani in person for me on you know. It was as tough and away because that may you know good friends on the Minnesota team by the same time as the excitedly at bank in New England you know when you guys common entitled friends here. But you know when I did hit the news I was getting traded back I was little shocked. Because I had previously heard that it might happen at some point. And both teams are customer and for the first and so I figured you know it happens man but it did happen and so in time's gone on on the pre season and then midway through the second trip. I get talked to by the coach in the GM and they Tom and interest in Petrino is now the psyched to make that figure you know it was over and attention anymore but. I was also very excited this in time you know happiness. Be back with the guys that I know now and down. In houses are thrilled to be back in New England. Believe back in new England and your back with a team that's very deep very loaded up front mean. Now for you. That obviously presents some kind of challenges but on one hand. You know the differences between Minnesota you might have had maybe a little more of a crack in Minnesota's annuity here but here it's an opportunity for you really produce a complete with guys that are. You know have proven themselves in the league especially Camara he's proven himself a league for a long time now. So you get to kind of train and work with these guys that have a bigger profile than some of the other players in the league. And you have to compete though so how does that process working for you do you appreciate having to work with these guys and really hone your craft. I definitely I definitely appreciate it. And I can learn so much from players like Camara and I nog would Dello and other top top players in the league and with their respective countries and down. You know I love I love a challenge you know in order to get batted to play with the best of the best and you know come and every day into practice knowing them playing we know with the best best attackers in the. In the league you know you know motivates me and pushes in the missing data become better. Know if maybe you can pinpoint something maybe camp but let's try and look to see if we can pinpoint one area. From lake come Morris game that you would like to absorbent kind of take away from him something that you see he excels at that you could maybe absorb and bring to your game. Yeah I think his you know his timing on his runs is phenomenal. Into the box from the wide service he has agreed to of the time in those runs something and you learn to do a better. And then he knows just the way he is able to time is that is when he gets a premier. Denies scored multiple goals and this had. Com and you that's the part of his game Melanie and I don't mind being noble cause and recyclers as well as he has I think this and I can only add to my game. What about a hundred dollar a widow and his from the moment abusing his body I mean. It is between you and the ball in again in from the necessary he does create a wood is back Google. On canola and a defender and you know turn with the ball and that's something that I'll also wanna improve is being able to hold a defender often and you know turn the ball Holden Obama. To me is to get into via the attack with me did you play bass over and added a put flowers in school cook so position did you play in about a platelet. Okay yeah because as it related to help boxing guy out exactly as home tomorrow it's about the outer layers like. It's just such a weird Steele said Reid just kind of know Heidi user arms to hold in shielding and he got to kind of others different elements of sports especially if you were well rounded grown up and played a couple different sports he can take little elements out of each game exit so the point guard you know how to distribute via U nowhere to be at the right time to create space season but now you have to look at it more. Like a two guard you know. Where you're cutting in your make in the cuts far more often so do you ever kind of look at other sports and kind of translate skills at all. I definitely am I'm glad plea offers as basketball because of those aspects in the sport you know. Finding players on the wings of the three point. Is Adam definitely something that room who's on the soccer and them. Do you find that very helpful you if you forgot. I'd do it slow feet more equality to send more tolerated I've played FISA you here's the images to your aggression I know exactly. Exactly. Whose best if the parents and would have this day. Novo or. Now that exact the next best player and now there's no love for Farrell filled when I talked to I was all right I've sent us is exposed to those who. All right you're heading into your home opener. You're dabbling with your teammates right now it's heading into your home opener. What we look forward from you guys. Finally sir in the season off here at home after. Resulting guys did not want known caller. Yeah I mean were you know we're hungry to bounce back Kim we're very excited to some opener it's a good opportunity showcase know our team has and we've been working on things in practice and when obviously showcase those here Saturday I'm playing very good Orlando team by you know authority you know of phenomenal in attacking for they we have as well as the you know. The new the Landis desist the back line I think come you know we're ready for Saturday's game on the specific to slow past loss this past weekend comfortably hunger and indigo. All right final question. You could see we'll see you bring one guy into league there's always a lot of talk about the dozens of players and you know. American fans wanna see some of these established European stars is because they're their profiles so big. Across the world you. And there's been a lot of talk about that. One player you would love to see in the MLS and kind of play against or play went. I think I would have to say Chris Arnold now on the you know. He is this is one of the past is the votes and had to say nom and you know I think bringing him in the him lasted just you know. Add that missed the mark to me anonymously and I'm a fan wise and also level the level of soccer mom I think just leveled them this morning knows the players union league and one you know challenge him and trying to you know be him. It's going to be an industry is that owned them last send them instantly bring it doesn't bring in more fans a slow. Is there one goaltender you'd love to score on just count yourself and the like can I beat this guy if one wants and how it definitely an hour without love disgorge millions and a stick have Scalia says. Our advantage and ask raised as you know how they let me thank you very much and sometimes they division. I we've had pharaoh we've had Sammy. No go for goodness. The xxx. Totally making this up either I should start like a superpower team is absolutely. All right. I've ever spoken to you on the show before I've spoken summary your teammates but we've been watching you for a long time but he's still really young guy. I think I'm pretty young but I think I'm in that age group where now I'm in the middle. It's 220 you're one of the most experienced guys on the team yet I agree I'm I think is in your rookie usually come in and between 233 so. I think I'm just starting to. Go over that little bomb didn't say I'm not the youngest. You're a veteran and the veteran you know some of these guys coming out of four year lake Femi community college for years came in the league it's when he won twenty year result. You came into the league much younger you know during high school. Isn't just for sure I'm sure was. But you the good thing for use you don't have to go away from home. Yeah sit home and kind of do everything you need to do and have that base around your family your friends who can kind of keep you grounded. And said trouble. I think that's key actually. Having Shimmy around not just. Not just to support you do in this but. To make sure you grounding you don't lose your head. I know there's a lot of people that. They hit up the fame and they lose it and naturally they think about but for me I think my mom and dad friends and Stanley definitely. Encouraged me to be 1 am and Misha stay grounded and make sure and working hard in. I don't think these changes for granted. Now obviously when he came to league you're you're you're young guy you're the youngest guy on the team by a lot. Now what's that adjustment period a year playing club games. Against other high school students and all of a sudden now you're playing against wooten met. It's one of those things are my boys played has older people so it wasn't like a huge adjustment just a speed in the phase got it. But other mariners. It's low man on the field soccer ball so I'm still playing the same game are on the game I love to play and so it's kind of an easy but. My news that had to be faster and quicker than them me should I give the ball to someone else and move often get while back and I am in my first game that's exactly what I nickname I drew became the first. Komeito and in the nag him a chance. In to that day I think that goal will always remember no matter what and is. No matter where I AM in. It's a story that I can tell that everybody into my kids and it's just not feeling to have. I bet I mean you know you growth in the area you're still relatively young at the time and you score for the team the local team. And into your friends and family out there supporting you. And that moment. Yeah that's I think that's the best feeling. It's it's actually for it pretty funny because two years before two years before I sign. I was not a redskin you know I'm as anxious as Washington. And then Jose comes hill left I was on the team and I actually went autograph Alley and I took mine as late when dale beyond that side. And accorsi isolated my dream came true and I was actually on that site signing autographs for other people so. It's hidden. Pretty amazing feeling to say that to my dad and then accomplish it couple years later not not that I was expecting it to be so quiet so quick but. Comity in the day a single hard work and other commitment and I pairings put into this I'm gonna tour and so. I'm a moist thankful for that. And anything and you give my parents and friends. For all health than. I try to give as much cost. What was your debts sponsor and he said someday I'm going to be on the other side of this he said of course and if you were card notify you that you can get there. And since he played professionally he knew all hardware to you to put in time and every time went on the side of field and we took shots and we did all our hard work. Now it's all paying off. Now. You know being a homegrown player. Which is obviously an initiative that they must start to push I don't know if you've seen that but they want it they wanna see more homegrown players and it's you and Scott Caldwell from Braintree you're the guys you're the home grown guys would you like to see more homegrown and if you saw more homegrown players on team would do you think since your recently gone through this process what do you think the steps need to improve to kind of allow that's happened. So far this team we have three which is awesome we also have sack and he's got so. I think in the matter of six years we factory and I'm in a flashy pretty big there's other teams that. So I'm pretty quick but maybe they don't have a chance to play like being in sky and Zach. And you kind of wanna see that that happened you want them to sign home grounds because if yes I don't really the only time in nationally want you want them to stay around. Play for your club men represented. The club and all the coaches that helped them get there. Common for me when when I got chains after playing for an academy in being home grown. There's an awesome experience I didn't get to play in my home grown schemes but nom and it's. I rather play in a must game and didn't than play a hunger in is more important to me. To allow my team and try to get points to go to the playoffs and stuff stuff. But it's one of those things that if you had a chance and year so close Misha a keep working hard because maybe as possible. I always tell people. If you can put an academy it's a good chance that they can maybe the next and you may be the next column. You must be next who initially could be the next heroin. Every anybody can do that. What's amazing I was told someone else earlier this story my best friend grown up from Portugal. But growth in Framingham with me once I swung between 1000 fantastic soccer player and his dad still live to Portugal. So his dad would take him to academies this is good player he went and trained at the Manchester United academy onetime and then. He's into virtual training with an academy up there we didn't realize this until years later. He's training with Christiane I don't know Kucinich. He's chain of Varnado before Varnado was or not if you're just another kiddo well the best player but another kid on the team. And it's amazing how. They keep you can kind of breakthrough. Do you remember what that moment was for you when you kind of broke through and was like this is really I can really actually make this was there one defining moment there was a kind of a culmination of a couple things. Is so us I voice that I wanted to be a professional player. And don't get me wrong. I don't want like say that only the best player meaning but out score goes to my job my public team win championships. And little by little aside getting noticed by scouts and stuff. But I also didn't I don't know what I wanna do that wanna go to college. I wanted to just be a professional player and they knew that. If that was in the chance the only chance at this go to college Indian draft. That's gonna put in my head SN nominal work as hard as they can make sure I keep scoring goals time and someone has seen me at some point. And I think. Once once I did that knew there is academy actually helped me a lot and I had two great seasons with them. And then I I had seen by them and Steve Nicol I think can make burns and the organization. Kimi contract which is an amazing feeling to push for your hometown team and I think they've been watching him. Now be playing for the on this so your feeling. Now one of the things that's been talked about with you is obviously your tremendously gifted offensive player. Am one of things that they it's talked about jays talked about it to his kind of completing your game. And developing more of a two way player how do you see that process going for you. How comfortable are you kind of becoming a little more box to box instead of just pushing forward all the time. He has adjusted again. That's not sending them. Extremely well at doing. Is that never played relieved so far back in the field level as we've tightened. Cinema and number attendance Ford so. It's an adjustment. The only when you have to when you're on the field the best of position you're gonna play you have to adjust to it. And I tried my hardest just as much as possible sometimes ish phones in the game where you can give back com is your body just doesn't allow you to arm. And that's why you have a lot of players on the field that sums can cover for you it but then when you know you have to go foreign. Somehow the energy comes back so. It's one of those things it's it's hard to explain I think when mean. Coming back is a little but I hardening going forward but. For me I'm trendy both as much possible and that's when. I'm working hard defensively in the attacking this just. Just a regular thing they do every day. I think a lot of Koreans can't see it especially on TV when if you don't tracked back maybe tactically you're actually setting up seek and push forward. And enacting players a lot of times get this bad rap if they're not tracking all the way back. Because they're actually trying to set up something else moving forward so when the ball comes back they're actually in a better position agree this is so there's nuances that people don't always see in. A lot of players get a bad rap on that sometimes the. And I think you see in especially in Europe. Let's just say Barcelona moved. Messy lease our eyes and name are attracting back with America and all it's my yes there they're trying to get that counter attack is. If I finally threw players forward it seems mentally for you and I you're going to be one on one so. It's all tactical stuff but of course sometimes you have to come back contract can. It's part of the team. If you can have a one up on someone. Then you and trend as much as possible so I might be time coming back but so is my team gets the morning. An umpire to feel and I don't have to around those 85 yards a year and maybe fifty yards and a Marty in the box of this is set to play Smart and that's what soccer is all about if you have your head in the team in you re Smart I'm excited to be easy for you. Who would you most tried to model your game after. I think that she's flares like so many times. I've looked into aren't all no time I looked into messy name Myers fires. There's so many players that never. I've always just looked at them and said I can do this time. But I think any Italian player I just look at them as their anon. If he can do is thinking I can tries. But there's. There's one person one of my dad's friends and he once told me sitting in my house he goes thing but this this way when you're an Italian player. When you have one warning is keeper try to do 12 of the post and make sure when you hit that went to the post it's going in and night out. And I've kept that in my head and it's sure if you get hit the post and he goes and to go and that's or you'll want to around the player defendant but steady demeanor on the goalkeeper. And stay true that's helped me so much. Nationally what is been your experience so far. Actually I'm exactly the twenties. I went to return and win them which is an awesome exchange the Iranian. You toys and time. We didn't really. Get to where we wanted to be by the arm they spin those costs. Just playing with different players. It's one thing player for club when things play for our country. So it's. It's a far and in hoping that I get more chances. And we'll see where that takes us. All right last thing I wanna talk about 2010 World Cup South Africa one of the greatest individual performances I've ever seen Diego floor. He was an absolute monster. In that tournament. Any experiences with him. No I also like it's a pretty funny commitments that parents know them all really. Mine didn't get to me am I personally like I met him when I was young and not gotten big. When you say this place huge flares that probably people don't know is still they do something great. And it's not data. He's been he's been an awesome player long time but just that one tournament for some reason he just came out of issues and news. Amazing you scoring goals and nowhere. But it seemed kind of his back and was trying to do everything possible to make sure that we want but hey things happened during the chairman. Tallying get there in. It's that. That's something that I think a lot of people remember that game. From him lose. Absolutely I appreciate take some time now wish nothing but the best luck throughout the regular season and of course this weekend Saturday when he does open. Our home opener against L Orlando city and Kaka. Thank you very much absolutely thank you for taking some time. I am sitting down with Brad nine revs goalkeeper right now and first things first do you still think Evan loves the top ten player in the MBA. OK okay if I thought at. For those you don't know Brad colas to detail holly afternoon show a couple of times we do in their a couple of times. Edison Saffo World Cup and then obviously. I mid guest appearance her for Michael when his with the SP and one that. It was it was interesting having you on these we never we don't get a ton of soccer talk on mainstream sports platforms through. Which is a shame it's absolutely change. Yeah I agree somewhat. You know I wish there was more of an you know hopefully this year going for maybe we can we can add a little bit a bit more and into programming. Well you know if you look at the attendance figures you guys usually do around 22000 per game. Yeah Doggett sets up there was you know the the big foreign and Boston so. You know I think we give and obviously the Celtics have been on an Iran and you know the Bruins. Feel like Europe they're in that category of this or not. That's material here Red Sox with your analyst pat answer. But hopefully one delegates we at that point and you know we have our Soccer City stadium and you know we're sown up they sell what we would. Yeah I see it we talk a lot about. That soccer stadium on the show because it's. It's on Zoubek and everyone talks about right now with the regards the revs in DC united finally got theirs done it's an ounce of tourists against theirs on which I know there truck I know and you know you see reports but I also talked to people. You know on the side that are little more engaged and involved in that situation so they know that they are trying really hard to get it on the just going to the right field. Not I I think you know obviously. You know with this that the crass it has to be are right situation for them step out into an. You know we we've heard you know. Excuse me countless times that. You know things have been going on in you know that they don't wanna come every time something possibly comes up you know they're gonna come some concrete that they look target new guys this and that and you know we're not there yet but I don't think we're far off and you know with this being my seventh year here and you know a lot of guys that have been here for a long time you know it's it's gonna calm it's just a matter of when but they've got a fund or an opportunity that not just gonna jump into a situation where. It doesn't you don't meet the best of of both worlds that being you know from. You know a fan's standpoint and also being from you know obviously a money standpoint and asked the makes sense for. For both avenues and eventually we'll get there it's just it's it's unfortunate its taken this long but. You know we're gonna get there and I'm positive and I think everyone in this locker or knows we're gonna get there at some point. Now for goaltender I'm really cares about this because the playing surface is obviously different here what you plan on vs natural grass. And I know some people don't like him because of the where terror and your knees some people don't like it because the bounce is very different. As a goaltender what's the biggest differences team playing on grass and playing on an artificial surface. I think you nailed it right there you know the balances. A little bit less true on turf we do actually a really good job of what in our field before they games. So it tries to play very very slick like it would on and on and natural grass field and so that they try and water as much as you can but obviously in the summer months. You know it it dries up pretty quickly but you know that they re apply water at halftime so on the trying to make the best experience of it as you can but. Obviously I grass is ideal but you know we're. Who were fortune deficit to play a handful of games Tom on grass throughout the year and you know he's gonna make the most of it in here and you know we've got to make this was a fortress so we know teams don't like coming here playing on turf and we know use that to our advantage in. And make this place a fortress as well. Do you get a better jump. Off of artificial than you would offer grass or is it negligible. I think it's eight it it depends calm you know. Some stadiums that have turf. The there's different turf so we change our turf later in the year last year and it it became more and more true. As you would see a normal role I felt like the turf that was down earlier in the season was a bit spongy and softer and you know your plant four was was was sitting in deeper than it probably should you not you're not actually. Getting a feel for you know your normal kicking position they Addison sand and and redid the turf here in the latter stages of the season and actually that was beneficial to us and obviously patriots. So last year. You really started to make a major name for herself in the league you know you've been around for a long time we know that and and but you really got an extended run in the second half of last year ended a very good job in the posts. Bob we shall Werth moved on to Minnesota they bring in Cody cropper. What is the difference you can obviously get to watch both of those guys a lot what's the difference between proper and what's that between proper until. You know Bobby Bobby he's been around he's a seasoned veteran you know Bobby was here when I was here the first time before with the Philadelphia and you know Bobby and I had a relationship before with the Philadelphia. Thirty Cayman. On the middle season last year and you know we would start to build that relationship towards the end of the year and so this is a whole new fresh start for both of us coming in a pre season together and you know mat being there with us as well and you know we're trying to build a commissioner trying to build a camaraderie because obviously Bobby and I had that when I was in the first time in them when I came back. We sitting contact Wallace gone and with the other teams I was with them. Here we remain friends throughout SP tone obviously now that he's in Minnesota so. We had a we had a very good relationship been you know it's owing any of better you know longer Cody a matter here and here we're able to build that as WB here. Now I I was watching you guys train out there earlier and obviously has trained together. You know as as goaltending unit. What can you talk to me about that the competition that goes on between you guys is obviously you're pushing each other but at the same time you wanna. The number one. You know everyone wants to be the number on but it's simply got to push each other so that whoever is in is the number one for that game. Yes for sure us I think you hit it perfectly there you know we're pushing each other day in and day out and training and we're trying to get the best out of each other because that's only gonna make us as a unit that much better you know all in one not pleasant weekend but. You know it could be me could be Bobby Kennedy not Bobby could be Cody they could be Matt. It just doesn't matter who's in their we just need to know that we've done enough during the week. For the guy that's in there to be confident to make the saves that we worked on during the week. Did that to be able to keep us having game. And that's when it comes out of you know it's about winning games in this league it's not about any individual and no the team better success for the teams that are built around a team not just you know single individuals and they're doing it for themselves it's it's more the benefit of the team and you know I think the sky's the limit with the steam this year just a matter of us coming together as a group. Nate added two new defensive unit in front of you. What's elect transitioning from a unit that a couple of times but you and there are a couple of times. Edison Saffo World Cup and then obviously. I made guest appearance here for Michael when his with the SP and one that. It was it was interesting having you on these we never we don't get a ton of soccer talk on mainstream sports platforms through. Which is a shame it's absolutely change. Yeah I agree somewhat. You know I wish there was more of an you know hopefully this year going for maybe we can we can add a little bit a bit more and and to programming. Well you know if you look at the attendance figures you guys usually do around 22000 per game. Yes I mean it's that's up there with you know the the big foreign and Boston so. You know I think we give. And obviously the Celtics have been on a good run and you know the Bruins. Feel like Europe they're in that category obviously we're not. That's material here Red Sox with your analyst pat answer. But hopefully one delegates we get to that point and you know we have earned suckers of the stadium in the you know we're sown up they sell like we would. Yeah I see it we talk a lot about. That soccer stadium on the show because it's. It's our exhibit and everyone talks about right now with the regards the revs in DC united finally got theirs done it's an ounce of tourists against theirs on which I know they're trying I know and you know you see reports but I also talked to people. You know on the side that are little more engaged and involved in that situation so they know that they are trying really hard to get it on the just going to the right deal. Not I think you know obviously. You know with this that the crass it has to be are right situation for them step out into an. You know we we've heard you know. Excuse me countless times that. You know things have been going on in you know that they don't wanna come every time something possibly comes up you know they're gonna come some concrete that they look for that you guys this and that and you know we're not there yet but I don't think we're far off and you know with this being my seventh year here and you know a lot of guys that have been here for a long time you know it's it's gonna calm it's just a matter of when but they've got a fun right opportunity and I just gonna jump into a situation where. On it doesn't you don't meet the best of of both worlds that being you know from. You know a fan's standpoint and also being from you know obviously a money standpoint and I asked the makes sense for. For both avenues and eventually we'll get there it's just it's it's a force has taken this long but. You know we're gonna get there and I'm positive and I think everyone in this locker or knows we're gonna get there at some point. Now for goaltender I'm really cares about this because the playing surface is obviously different here what you plan on vs natural grass. You know it it dries out pretty quickly but you know that they re apply water at halftime so on the trying to make the best experience of it as you can but. Obviously grass is ideal but you know we're. What were fortune opposite to play a handful games how mom on grass or the year and you know he's gonna make the most of it here and you know we've got to make this was a fortress so we know teams don't like coming here playing on turf and we know use that to our advantage in. And make this place a fortress is well. You get a better jump. Off of artificial than you would offer grass or is it negligible. I think it's eight it it depends Tom you know. As you would see a normal role I felt like the turf that was down earlier in the season was a bit spongy and softer and you know your plentiful was was was sitting in deeper than it probably should you not in not actually. Getting a feel for you know your normal kicking position they Addison sand and and redid the turf here in the latter stages of the season and at silicon is beneficial to us and obviously patriots. So last year. You really started to make a major name for herself in the league you know you've been around for a long time we know that and and but you really got an extended run in the second half of last year ended a very good job in the posts. Bob shuttleworth who moved on to Minnesota they bring in Cody cropper to. What is the difference you can obviously get to watch both of those guys a lot what's different between proper and what's that between proper and so. You know Bobby Bobby has been around he's a seasoned veteran you know Bobby was here when I was here the first time before with the Philadelphia and you know Bobby and I had a relationship before with the Philadelphia. Cody Cayman. On the middle season last year and you know we will start to build that relationship towards into the year and so this is a whole new fresh start for both of us coming in a pre season together and you know mat being there with us as well and you know we're trying to build a commissioner trying to build a camaraderie because obviously Bobby and I had that when I was in the first time and then when I came back. We sitting contact Wallace gone and with the other teams I was with them. You know we remain friends throughout nasty tone of personalities in Minnesota so. We had a we have very good relationship been you know it's owing any of better you know longer Cody a matter here in Europe where it able to build that as it'll be read here. Now I was watching you guys train out there earlier and obviously has trained together. You know as as goaltending unit. What can you talk to me about that the competition that goes on between you guys is obviously you're pushing each other but at the same time you wanna be the number one. You know everyone wants to be the number on but it's simply got to push each other. So that whoever is in is the number one for that game. Yes for sure us I think you had a perfectly there you know we're pushing each other day in and day out and training and we're trying to get the best out of each other because that's only gonna make us as a unit that much better you know all in one that's pleasant weekend but. You know it could be me could be Bobbie can I mean not Bobby could be Cody they could be Matt. It just doesn't matter who's in their we just need to know that we've done enough during the week. For the guy that's in there to be confident to make the saves that we worked on during the week. Did that to be able to keep a sitting game. Nader did to new defensive unit in front of you what's alike transitioning from a unit that. Was kind of a times mix and match together with Ferrell moving in from the right back position designer back but now you seem to have it. To find unit visas this is going to be your Centre back pairing. You know what's a transition been like for you to communicate with them especially of one. Slovenian. Genoa I think it's great. You know the two guys have to commend Tony and and Bengie. They've adapted really well. To what we've built here you know obviously they're coming into a new situation how many team a new city. Newfield. A whole lot of different unknowns. But they've meshed well with the group and you can see from pre season on net you know the true professionals they've they've been around the game for awhile I understand the position and were asked him to do a specific job and they said okay let's start and so. You know from day one they've been you know totally open ears to to whatever advice or on the information about players' tendencies and and so they haven't seen because obviously their new in this league and I feel like that's only helped them so much for us to go forward as a group. You know I think we need to be more sound defensively we gave away a lot of bad goals last year and you know that's where we're vulnerable. You know we have to be able to sneak out the 10 wins of losers are ties on the road or. On and try to make this was a fortress like I said and you know with the additions of those two guys and you know the traffic Josh. Com and London that's that's been around our team as well so we've got a great core of guys that I can play that position and we just need some solidarity back there and you know we need to that defeat to the same team each week defensively. I think for us that to continue on the stuff for. Com and don't Lula aside here arm. There's been a lot of talk about certain things of how fans would like to see the M Alaska. And different avenues. Promotion relegation. That's something that. You'd think would work here because I personally don't think it would work in the states because we have such an established. Sporting tradition of every team is kind of in the majors so to speak and then hit a playoff. Would promotional initial work here. Yeah I don't think approach relegation would work in the way in Melissa set up right now obviously it's a single entity. And the teams that are in them less obviously the owners for got money every single season to input into a bank and the other teams that are in the lower divisions don't. Don't really pitch into that pod and I just think it would. It would make of a cluster of gosh knows what's gonna happen the next season if that if that ends up going on and on. I don't think the of the backing and in SL and US cell is high enough to where they're able to fork over that much money. In a particular season to commit to you know obviously the the owners pot on the fuel and and so I may be down the road but I don't see it happening. And less the analysts rules change it's England to structure. Or some other things with in the CBH change because I just don't I don't see it's manageable. Yeah a boy look at it from a different from a media side arm and which is used appropriately for example. You know they've got a bunch of teams in London I think there's eighteen professional teams in London that are in the top 45 missions. Now one of those teams. Like queen's park ranger might drop. Or Fulham might rise you know but the main ones you're medium markets aren't gonna really change and that's a very different here in the United States how we're set up with that these big. Centralized media markets. Everywhere writes I don't think it works and I think you lose a lot of interest. Guy thinks it's of I think that's a great point I actually being thought about that point but. You know you eat. Also the travel you know used to travel into account these guys are traveling by train or by bus almost every single game and much closer you know we're fly and five and six hour flights and you know that old demographic has completely changed and not saying that's an issue but. It's deathly sultan on a broader scope that. You can take a look at and say while you know we're support traveling across North America and these guys are traveling you know three hours Max. You know move their traveling what would if you if every team was in New England yeah that's how their trap pressure. And you have to go through the smiles just played the galaxy Berkshire Berkshire. Who would you I am bass a couple of other guys that are coming here today. There's one guy you've got a situation to you vs mode to some two striker. PK. And you wanna stop this one who's that one guy you'd like to see lineup against a you'd like to challenge yourself on one with an analyst or does the Muslim world and. It's. Babies slot on. They're ego or here's our Tonga. Yes I actually wasn't. He's actually got an unbelievable move on Netflix called being slots are becoming slot pardon and it once I watched that I had a kind of different perspective of the guy in Macy and show boating around and every team is played foreign. I didn't realize he's this way his entire life I thought it was just an aura about them that. He was all about himself on this but it ye become the find out that this kid from when he goes from alma. To all these big clubs you realize like that's who he is and I think it's it's something that he's. Kind of carried himself about the right way and you know and nobody's bigger than slots I feel like in. You know he's carried Japanese carry the burden of activities performed at almost every single club and he's been out. Yeah I think my favorites thoughts on stories when he had gone from almost I acts yeah and then are some thing you want to bring an arsonist. Slots on doesn't do audition this and just walked away. Yes it's it's incredible but I mean you via the U gotta give the guy credit and give that kind of confidence in yourself and dad I mean it at the start of the movie he. He comes in the movie in his ages you know sweat bullets here on the flight to go be the biggest signing and I acts history and you know he's telling his agent to calm down I mean this it's nineteen years old and he's telling his agent who's been around the block to the calm down it's going to be okay and mean it's it's pretty credible would you like semen them on us. Yeah I would I think he would be be great for the league obviously east on as prime right now and I think whenever he decides to come over he's going to be a great ambassador simmered the most the guys have come over that the crimson and that's. But he guys feel about it and it's a line (%expletive) really and honestly is the retirement league tag. Which I think is crap and I think he doesn't Sebastien you veco helped us really shakes out from a lot of the Europeans south American players that are of a certain age you know mid twenties. They've kind of shown that not all of this is a great league of replacement money in your America do you mean I don't mean to sound xenophobia cure but yet look beyond. That's for sure and you know you you see the Chinese sleep coming around with you know these guys throwing around fifty million dollars it's nothing and I mean it's shocking I think they've got a thirteen billion dollar surplus of money that they're just paying players to comment. You know if that's a lifestyle you want and you wanna live in China go ahead but I think a lot of people would take the opposite and sale wanna come live in America and yeah I'm not commit fifty million dollars but I can complain a league that's developing its growing. You know since I've been only you know seven. This week's current tremendously that's obviously with David Beckham effect but. You know look the likes of like you said it's it's not a retirement make a lot of people thought that the beginning but. Like you said you get the likes of giving go and that would be an all these guys coming over here and performing at that level and you know Jim because an unbelievable example he comes over when he's 27. And you know that the statistics that he's put up over these last two seasons that are simply stunning. And so it should make for. You know future signings that we need to target these twenty to 27 year old players that are in their prime that obviously if you wanna come live in America this is Italy trio. Yeah. It's it's. It's interesting to watch because he won't let you bring over a couple of guys Steven Gerrard Franklin park. You know it's their last run but they still charge still a little bit left went hard. It took a little while to get it going yet but that adjustment period seems to be so much harder for some people that they realize because the league is actually a lot faster than they think a lot more physical thing. Yeah I think this league. You know stacks up to you know we wanna be one of the top five leaves in the world but our league is completely different than almost any other league in the entire world. Not to mention travel not to mention. Purity within the league I feel like every team anybody can beat anybody on any given weekend you getting and that's not the case. You go to Spain that's not the case. But there's so much parity in our league and guys that have played at a high level of play two World Cup's. Have that adjustment period. Weathered the you know the fizz Cali of the league the speed of the league. On the travel. All that stuff adds up and you find guys that. You know take 345 months to get adjusted and then they find their comfort zone and find out what works for them and then they're successful. On but it's fair career that you get a guy that comes over and he's in a spot on right away except you say Sebastien Jamaica. Yeah David Villa took him a little while yeah and that he got a seat and remembers his last year. Yeah you talked about wanting to be one of the top five leagues that are off. You look at it. You know if you powering the top athletes legal and is usually the one that's kind of at the bottom of that rank it. To a far away. They're obviously very top heavy they've got two very good teams in PST in Monaco but after that nieces having a nice year. Let's play downwards because of the crazy men are about sonic but arm you're not that far away from you guys could compete. Would most of those teams on a night in night out basis. Yeah I think that's him on me in you know what we're very fortunate to have the the CONCACAF champions league and you know we get to. Have four teams that are in that term from within in the last you know three and US teams and and one Canadian himself. On to see the the progress we've made I mean you look at Dallas that are in the semifinals to look at the bank of white caps that are in the semifinals and in a city capital another 1 o'clock world championships playing against what he says some of the best teams in the world the barn units the Barcelona's. You know the the the big names that you see globally. And we can compare ourselves the to see how we stack up against that competition. Obviously we're not there yet but we're deathly taken strides in the right direction and I totally yours I think we're right there Leo. Well Brad I appreciate you someone by. Spend some time it's been a while that the union of extra but it really appreciate it was she goes nothing but the best of luck for your home opener on Saturday against Orlando city and Kaka always like countless. Chicago for six weeks ago they only have its right what are we doing regularly at the center Tyler said that he's a good thing. Thank you yeah I've version then I'll always do an excellent job and I appreciate it thank you maybe next time only does with. I mean Elena that would have been nice bottle. We're team players though then at the end of the day he doesn't even know is going down to though of course it's not. We did go to the Scott although interview last week but that's fine at the end of the day were team players and we just what the soccer caste the be listened to IIR. I agree. And the reason you guys and I'll get guys more involve the mum died just tough for me I took the day off on Tuesday to go down fine. And we appreciate that so I make sacrifices. And we notice them and any time you guys are trying to ask when you guys to make sacrifices like Ponte. Like I adapted last week became utterly and now. Through some negotiating. Well I need. I I'll be honest I didn't know you weren't going to be witness that's when I said I couldn't do that time nonetheless. You done a great job Michael Hawley interview is fantastic even though we were a part of it you know Whitman golly well that I couldn't have begun as a part of his opponent through microphones at three people in the studio right but either way I enjoyed listening to I thought it was. Got a good yet. But on not because spend behind Dominic hit cities doing a great job our band seriously you mean get in these interviews and up. And Al and I are team guys it's as if that's what it takes Soviet. You're the best you're the best teammates I can ask for. Thank you guys do great thank you skating awfully machine it's on now. I thought the show's better before either you join it but I mean you guys are doing a great job. Winners just go round winners just me interviewing players it was fantastic that's on sharper. It was at its past the guys is don't like me because my team slogan in the Premier League and it's. No that's not why we don't like Erica. We just we have others. We we're not gonna get into but we have other reasons why we don't. I mean year. Lessons Goldberg in united Jewish that's a problem. Russ can back him Allen. No I.
